Introduction to Our Terms of Service

Welcome to 407 MAIDS Inc., also referred to as "407 MAIDS". We appreciate your trust in our cleaning services. To ensure a transparent and mutually beneficial relationship, we have developed the following Terms of Service. These terms not only protect our business but also allow us to deliver a professional, consistent, and high-quality service to all our customers.

Independent Hiring Policy

Whereas it is acknowledged that 407 MAIDS invests considerable time, energy, skill and revenue into the recruitment, training, management, motivation, and compensation of its employees, the Customer agrees not to hire or attempt to hire a present or former employee of 407 MAIDS for any purpose whatsoever, for the term of this agreement and for a further period of two years after last service date, without the express written permission of 407 MAIDS. However, if you do wish to employ a staff member directly please discuss this matter with the owner of 407 MAIDS. If you are found to have solicited one of our staff please be advised that our referral/training fee is $3,500 per hired employee. Payment is due within 30 days from the date on the invoice. We consider our employees our most valuable asset and charge accordingly.

Communication between Customers and Team Members of 407 MAIDS.

At 407 MAIDS, we prioritize the privacy and security of both our valued customers and our dedicated team members. To ensure streamlined communication and maintain the confidentiality of all parties involved, we've established the following guidelines:

Accepted Forms of Payment

407 MAIDS does not accept cash payment in order to reduce the liability for cleaners to carry cash with them.
Our preferred payment method is check, which should be made out to 407 MAIDS. Please tip your cleaner separately from the check made out to 407 MAIDS.
We can also accept credit card payments, however there will be a 3.5% service fee added to your cleaning total to cover transaction fees and other costs related to accepting credit cards. Our posted prices are based on check payments, please refer to website for credit card-based prices.

Credit Card on File Requirement

407 MAIDS requires that all customers maintain a valid credit card on file as a prerequisite for booking our services.

While we require a credit card on file, we also accept check payments at the time of service. If you opt to pay by check, rest assured that your stored credit card will not be charged.

Returned Check Policy

Should a check payment be returned due to insufficient funds or any other reason, 407 MAIDS will proceed to charge the stored credit card for the original amount of the check. Additionally, a $35 Returned Item Fee and a 3.5% service fee will be levied against the account.

Please note that future services may be withheld until the outstanding balance is settled. After two returned checks, we regret to inform you that payment by check will no longer be an acceptable form of payment.

Waiting Fee

In the event that the cleaner needs to wait for the customer for any reason then the customer will be charged for that time at the hourly cleaning rate applicable to the service requested.

For example, if the cleaner arrives for the appointment and the customer arrives 15 minutes later to let her in, then such time will be added to the cleaning time.
If the customer asks the cleaner to wait for her and the cleaner is done but the customer arrives 15 minutes later, then such time will be added to the cleaning time.

Essentially, the customer is charged from the time the cleaner arrives until the cleaner is done and allowed to leave. There is no additional charge for waiting if waiting is compensated with less cleaning that day.

Lock Out Fee

Customer will be charged a $100 Lock Out Fee for all cancellations due to lock-outs where the cleaner arrives at the house but is unable to enter the house. 407 MAIDS will attempt to contact the customer and have the cleaner wait for up to 30 minutes.

Cleaner will check-in to mark her arrival time and if the customer is able to let the cleaner in within 30 minutes then Customer will only be charged a Waiting Fee.

If Customer is unable to let the cleaner in within 30 minutes, then the Cleaner will leave and Customer will be charged a $100 Lock Out Fee on the Credit Card on file.

This fee is enforced to compensate the Cleaner for her time and some of her lost work hours.

Late Cancellation Fee

Customer will be charged a $75 Late Cancellation Fee on the Credit Card on file for cancellations that we receive less than two hours before the appointment as long as the cancellation is received before the cleaner arrives at the house, or at the security gate.

Once the Cleaner arrives, then such cancellation will be considered a Lock Out and a $100 Lock Out Fee will be charged to the Card on file.

This fee is enforced to compensate the Cleaner for her time and some of her lost work hours.

Cancellation Fee

Customer will be charged a $50 Cancellation Fee on the Credit Card on file for cancellations that we receive less than 48 hours before the appointment.

This fee will be waived twice per calendar year for all weekly and biweekly customers after their 5th cleaning service. New weekly and biweekly customer will be charged a Cancellation Fee until they reach their 5th cleaning service.

This fee will be waived once per calendar year for all on-call customers after their 5th cleaning appointment. New on-call customers will be charged a Cancellation Fee until they reach their 5th cleaning appointment.

This fee cannot be waived for move-in or move-out cleanings.

This fee is enforced to compensate the Cleaner for her time and some of her lost work hours.

 

We ask that all customers provide a minimum of 48-hour notice for any cancellations and reschedule requests. If possible, more notice is very much appreciated! It is our goal to provide our cleaners with steady pay checks. Unpredictable work hours create high turnover. Please help us avoid these situations by communicating any schedule changes in a timely manner.
